Preparedness before peak heat
The initiative focuses on practical measures that can reduce heat-related illness and protect vulnerable households before extreme temperatures reach their peak.
- Training para-medics and frontline responders
- Establishing community cooling centres
- Setting up an ice bank for emergency response
- Disseminating heat-health messages through community networks
CDF teams are coordinating with communities and relevant stakeholders so that early action reaches people who face the greatest risk.
